Our Story
AFTER SERVING IN THE ARMY, JIM TERHUNE SR. BEGAN WORK IN THE METALS FIELD OVER 40 YEARS AGO.
IN THE LATE 90'S, JAMES TERHUNE JR. (JT) FOLLOWED IN HIS FATHER'S FOOTSTEPS BY SERVING IN THE ARMY BEFORE FINDING HIS WAY TO THE METALS FIELD.
WITH A COMBINED 60+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, THIS FATHER AND SON DUO SHOWCASE THE BEST OF THE AMERICAN DREAM BY RUNNING THEIR BUSINESS TOGETHER.
NOW A FAMILY BUSINESS, THEY HAVE CREATED A TEAM OF HIGHLY MOTIVATED INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EAGER TO SUPPORT YOUR NEEDS.

JACK HEINZ
VP OPERATIONS
Prior to joining T&T Legacy Metals, Jack has served in the metals industry for over 15 years. He started his career in Drafting and Design, programming burn tables and overseeing operations for a Buffalo / Rochester, NY based steel company. After 6+ years in that position he transitioned to a startup company overseeing R&D, integration, safety, and production for a fully automated induction heating process manufacturing ballistic plate. In this role he gained experience with robotic programming, ladder logic, and induction heating, amongst other things. Jack’s most recent position was as the General Manager for a cold finish house / service center in Buffalo, NY.
JIM TERHUNE SR.

One of the founders of T&T Legacy Metals LLC, Jim Terhune Sr. has nearly 40 years of experience in the raw materials industry. Jim developed his knowledge as a staff member with the industry leaders in raw materials during his service with Carpenter Technology and Joseph T. Ryerson as-well-as from the perspective of entrepreneur and small business owner, having successfully created, grown and sold a thriving $10M metals brokerage company prior to his current success with T&T Materials, Inc. (T&T Legacy Metals' government-focused sister company). Jim’s ability to incubate and successfully grow businesses has included industries such as metals warehousing/distribution, commercial cleaning, personnel placement, real estate and restaurants.
TONY ROMAN
VP SALES - GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS
Tony started with T&T in 2021 and helped open our first warehouse location in Buffalo, NY. He then helped land our largest government contract in company history. Prior to working in metals, Tony has worked in automobile rentals and sales and technology sales. Tony is bilingual in English & Spanish and has a wide variety of skills including (but not limited to) driving trucks, auto mechanics, welding & IT. Most recently he was supervising several sales associates for a technology company responsible for almost $1billion in annual revenue. He graduated from University at Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems in 2011
NATE DUNCAN
OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Prior to joining T&T Legacy Metals, Nate has built his career around business development and client relationship management within the metals industry. In his current role as Business Development Manager, he focuses on driving growth, strengthening partnerships, and delivering reliable metal supply solutions to customers across the region. Nate brings a hands-on, customer-first approach to his work, with a strong emphasis on communication, consistency, and long-term value.
JAMES TERHUNE II (JT)
PRESIDENT
One of the founders of T&T Legacy Metals LLC, James Terhune II (JT), has served in the metals industry for over 20 years. He started cutting metals inside Kodak at 18yrs old for his father, Jim Terhune, at their first family-owned metals business, Industrial Metals. He departed from the family business and after obtaining a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY at Buffalo, he worked at a Rochester / Buffalo based steel company for over thirteen years, where he served in a variety of roles; including project manager, plant manager and outside sales manager. The last position he held before this most recent pairing with his father in metals was as General Manager for a stainless steel fabricator in Buffalo, NY. JT has a passion for metals and truly enjoys working directly with our customers.
SARAH MOSSGRABER
MARKETING COORDINATOR
In addition to assisting with the production and maintenance of marketing media for T&T Legacy Metals, Sarah also serves as Quality Compliance Coordinator for T&T Materials, Inc. Her variety of talents have been utilized at T&T Materials, Inc. for over a decade. She holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from University at Buffalo and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from SUNY Brockport.
